Our summer camps offer full immersion in Spanish, French, or Mandarin for children 18 months - 8 years (depending on location) through a new and exciting refreshed themed-week Summer Camp for 2026! Every week brings a new adventure—from superheroes to space—while children build language skills in Spanish, French, or Mandarin. Our camp blends imaginative weekly themes with outdoor play, art, music, movement, and joyful hands-on learning.

Program Details:
We offer seven weeks of summer camp fun, with the option of registering for just one week or multiple ones!

Important Information
- Our Preschool program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
- The day is conducted entirely in Spanish.
- There are two teachers in each classroom.
- Our teachers are native speakers with years of experience working with young children.
- Our guided play activities are based on early childhood best practices and are designed to help students reach specific linguistic, social, and academic goals.

About Each Week
🦸 Superhero Adventure Week
Campers create masks and capes, go on superhero missions, practice helping and kindness in Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
🏕️ Camp-out Adventure Week
Kids hike, explore forest animals and create a cozy “campsite,” pretend to sleep under the stars, and learn about nature in a safe, imaginative environment. This theme offers engaging camping-themed activities that build creativity and spark a love for outdoor exploration.
⚽ World Cup Soccer Fun!
Children dribble, kick, and cheer while learning soccer words, exploring world cultures, and practicing teamwork through active games and movement.
🏖️ Beach Fun & Sun Week
Campers enjoy sand play, beach games, shell exploration, and sunny activities while learning seaside.
🐠 Under the Sea Adventures
Children discover sea creatures, explore ocean habitats, try sink-and-float activities, create ocean art, and learn how to keep our waters clean.
🦕 Dinosaur Discovery Week
Kids dig for “fossils,” sort dinosaurs, explore prehistoric habitats, and practice fun gross-motor dino movements.
🚀 Space Adventure Week
Campers blast off to explore planets, rockets, and stars through imaginative play, space-themed art, and hands-on activities in their immersion language.
Policies
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100.00 per child per session is due upon registration. A registration is completed WHEN CommuniKids recieves the deposit payment. The deposit is applied toward the session cost.
The remaining balance is due by May 1, 2026.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds for canceled sessions after registration is completed.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds or make-ups for missed days.
Families may request session changes before May 1, 2026 and depending on CommuniKids space availability. After May 4, no session changes will be accepted.
Parents need to submit a current (dated within a year) DC school entrance health forms and other required forms by June 7, 2026. Children CANNOT attend camp unless forms have been submitted in advance.
Young children (ages 18 months- 5 1/2) attending full time summer camp will have a 45min "Quiet Time" period.
Children MUST bring their own lunch from home
CommuniKids is peanut and tree nut free.
