Classes run from August 20 to May 30. Please see our calendar for more details.
- Class sizes are limited to 20 students, with two teachers in each classroom.
- Our native-speaking teachers are credentialed in Early Childhood or Elementary Education and have years of experience working with children.
- The afternoon program is conducted entirely in Spanish.
- Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Program Details:
- Age Group: 5-8 years
- Program Hours: 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
- Bus Service: Drop-off from Oak Street Elementary and Mt Daniel Elementary
Tuition:
- Three-Day Program (M, W, F):
- A non-refundable deposit of $270 is due at the time of registration and must be paid by July 1st. This deposit will be applied toward the May tuition.
- If you register after July 1st, the deposit must be paid upon registration.
- The August tuition will be prorated to $125.
- Monthly tuition is $270.00, billed from September 2025 to April 2026.
- Payments can be made online or by personal check.
- A two-week advance notice is required for any changes or to stop automatic payments, but the deposit remains non-refundable.
- 5-Day Program:
- A non-refundable deposit of $425 is due at the time of registration and must be paid by July 1st. This deposit will be applied toward the May tuition.
- If you register after July 1st, the deposit must be paid upon registration.
- The August tuition will be prorated to $200.
- Monthly tuition is $425, billed from September 2025 to April 2026.

Kids will develop fine and gross motor skills while enjoying developmentally-appropriate music, art, and movement activities, completely in the target language. A parent/caregiver attends the class with students. This class meets once a week.

Enrollment in these classes requires a placement test.

- Ladybugs, Honeybees, and Dragonflies classes meet once a week. Grasshoppers and Caterpillars meet twice a week. Our school year has 35 weeks. During this time, children will explore a variety of themes.
- Families can register online at any time during the school year. We accept rolling registrations.
- We charge a yearly tuition (Sept. – June). This tuition is split in 9 equal monthly installments. Payments are due on the first of the month.
- Families that are new to CommuniKids pay a registration fee of $50.
- Our location offers school bus pick up for Mt Daniel and Thomas Jefferson Schools for our Tuesday and Thursday classes.
- Our classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations are processed in the order they are received.
- Registration and schedule changes are accepted based on space availability. Classes are subject to change or cancellation based on enrollment.
- We offer make ups for missed classes by letting you attend a class that meets on a different time/day/location during the school year.
- If for any reason, you are unable to continue attending our classes, please notify us. We require a 30-day written notice to process cancellations, after which we will refund the remainder of your tuition.
- We are a nut-free school. Do not bring any peanut or other nut product into our classrooms.
- Children are to be taken to their classrooms at the scheduled time (not before), and they are to be picked up from their classrooms as well. Pick your child up promptly; if you are running late, call us. Note that you may be charged a late pick up fee.

🌼 Garden Explorers
Children explore flowers, plants, and bugs through play, hands-on nature activities, and simple planting fun in their immersion language.
🏕️ Camp-out Adventure Week
Kids hike, explore forest animals and create a cozy “campsite,” pretend to sleep under the stars, and learn about nature in a safe, imaginative environment. This theme offers engaging camping-themed activities that build creativity and spark a love for outdoor exploration.
🦸 Superhero Adventure Week: Every Hero Has a Story
Campers will create their own superheroes through masks and capes, bring their own stories to life through creative play and missions, and practice helping and kindness in Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
⚽ World Cup Soccer Fun!
Children dribble, kick, and cheer while learning soccer words, exploring world cultures, and practicing teamwork through active games and movement.
🏖️ Beach Fun & Sun Week
Campers enjoy sand play, beach games, shell exploration, and sunny activities while learning seaside.
🐠 Under the Sea Adventures
Children discover sea creatures, explore ocean habitats, try sink-and-float activities, create ocean art, and learn how to keep our waters clean.
🦕 Dinosaur Discovery Week
Kids dig for “fossils,” sort dinosaurs, explore prehistoric habitats, and practice fun gross-motor dino movements.
🚀 Space Adventure Week
Campers blast off to explore planets, rockets, and stars through imaginative play, space-themed art, and hands-on activities in their immersion language.
🔬Science Adventures
Hands-on fun where kids explore, test, and discover! Through playful experiments, observation, and curiosity-driven activities, children learn how things work using their senses, questions, and imagination.
Policies
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100.00 per child per session is due upon registration. A registration is completed WHEN CommuniKids recieves the deposit payment. The deposit is applied toward the session cost.
The remaining balance is due by May 1, 2026.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds for canceled sessions after registration is completed.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds or make-ups for missed days.
Families may request session changes before May 1, 2026 and depending on CommuniKids space availability. After May 4, no session changes will be accepted.
Parents need to submit a current (dated within a year) DC school entrance health forms and other required forms by June 7, 2026. Children CANNOT attend camp unless forms have been submitted in advance.
Young children (ages 18 months- 5 1/2) attending full time summer camp will have a 45min "Quiet Time" period.
Children MUST bring their own lunch from home
CommuniKids is peanut and tree nut free.

About Each Week
🌼 Garden Explorers
Children explore flowers, plants, and bugs through play, hands-on nature activities, and simple planting fun in their immersion language.
🏕️ Camp-out Adventure Week
Kids hike, explore forest animals and create a cozy “campsite,” pretend to sleep under the stars, and learn about nature in a safe, imaginative environment. This theme offers engaging camping-themed activities that build creativity and spark a love for outdoor exploration.
🦸 Superhero Adventure Week: Every Hero Has a Story
Campers will create their own superheroes through masks and capes, bring their own stories to life through creative play and missions, and practice helping and kindness in Spanish, French, or Mandarin.
⚽ World Cup Soccer Fun!
Children dribble, kick, and cheer while learning soccer words, exploring world cultures, and practicing teamwork through active games and movement.
🏖️ Beach Fun & Sun Week
Campers enjoy sand play, beach games, shell exploration, and sunny activities while learning seaside.
🐠 Under the Sea Adventures
Children discover sea creatures, explore ocean habitats, try sink-and-float activities, create ocean art, and learn how to keep our waters clean.
🦕 Dinosaur Discovery Week
Kids dig for “fossils,” sort dinosaurs, explore prehistoric habitats, and practice fun gross-motor dino movements.
🚀 Space Adventure Week
Campers blast off to explore planets, rockets, and stars through imaginative play, space-themed art, and hands-on activities in their immersion language.
🔬Science Adventures
Hands-on fun where kids explore, test, and discover! Through playful experiments, observation, and curiosity-driven activities, children learn how things work using their senses, questions, and imagination.
Policies
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $100.00 per child per session is due upon registration. A registration is completed WHEN CommuniKids recieves the deposit payment. The deposit is applied toward the session cost.
The remaining balance is due by May 1, 2026.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds for canceled sessions after registration is completed.
CommuniKids does NOT offer refunds or make-ups for missed days.
Families may request session changes before May 1, 2026 and depending on CommuniKids space availability. After May 4, no session changes will be accepted.
Parents need to submit a current (dated within a year) DC school entrance health forms and other required forms by June 7, 2026. Children CANNOT attend camp unless forms have been submitted in advance.
Young children (ages 18 months- 5 1/2) attending full time summer camp will have a 45min "Quiet Time" period.
Children MUST bring their own lunch from home
CommuniKids is peanut and tree nut free.
