Meet Laura Giron, our dedicated Assistant Director at CommuniKids! With an impressive 13 years at our school, Laura’s journey as an educator began with two years of volunteering at Caterpillar Co-operative Preschool, the predecessor of CommuniKids. Her passion for teaching young children a new language led her to this fulfilling career. Laura finds joy in witnessing students engage with one another and apply what they learn in the classroom. She started her early childhood education in 2003 at the Early Childhood Institute and later earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) in 2014. Originally from El Salvador, Laura has been a resident of the DC area for over 30 years. In her free time, she enjoys tending to her garden and cherishing quality moments with her family. We are privileged to have Laura’s expertise and dedication contributing to the success of our students at CommuniKids!
