Ray

“I started my career in accounting when I was a Corpsman in the US Navy. I was on my way to becoming an OB/GYN, when an unfortunate accident left me unable to practice medicine. After I was medically retired from a drive duty, I continued my education in Accountancy. My niche is being able to take complicated financial data, break it down into its simplest form, and explain it to whomever needs that help. I love seeing people have that “ah ha” moment when I’m explaining financials to them. I’ve worked with a host of non-profits and for profits in DC, a few professional athletes, and even the IRS with their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. I started my education in Accountancy at Strayer University where I earned my Associates and Bachelors of accountancy. I became a certified Tax Professional with my own PTIN. I completed my Masters and Doctorate of Accountancy at The George Washington University. I married my soul mate in 2021. I love children but we don’t have any. In my free time, I like to jump onboard my boat and cruise the waterways. Winter months are spent on my snowboard usually at 7Springs. I love tinkering around my home and working on projects (installing dimmer switches, accent lighting, landscaping, etc.), and caring for my cars. My grandfather told me that growing up was a trap so I’ve made it my lifelong goal to never grow up.”
